BULLS COACH BILLY DONOVAN STEPS DOWN AFTER 6 SEASONS

Chicago Bulls head coach Billy Donovan has stepped down after six seasons, choosing to leave as the franchise prepares for a major front office overhaul.
Team president Michael Reinsdorf said the decision was mutual, allowing incoming leadership full control to reshape the organization. Donovan, 60, emphasized that the move was made in the best interest of the team’s future.
Despite support from ownership, including Jerry Reinsdorf, Chicago struggled to find consistent success during Donovan’s tenure. The Bulls made just one playoff appearance and were eliminated in the play-in tournament over the past three seasons.
With both the front office and coaching position now open, the Bulls enter a pivotal offseason aimed at rebuilding and redefining the franchise’s direction.
