DSWD LAUNCHES SPECIAL CASH AID FOR TNVS DRIVERS IN METRO MANILA

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has started a special cash aid payout for TNVS drivers in Metro Manila who missed earlier schedules, while also continuing support for tricycle and jeepney drivers in other areas. The agency aims to complete all payouts before April ends.

Claims are still done in person to prevent fraud, but DSWD is exploring digital payments for faster distribution. The assistance program helps drivers cope with rising fuel costs despite recent price rollbacks.
