Twenty-eight areas across the Philippines are expected to reach “danger” level heat index values today, May 11, 2026. Temperatures may feel as high as 44°C in Dagupan City (Pangasinan), Aparri (Cagayan), Casiguran (Aurora), San Jose (Occidental Mindoro), Cuyo (Palawan), and Dumangas (Iloilo).

Other areas, including Metro Manila’s NAIA, Sinait (Ilocos Sur), and Iloilo City, may experience heat index values up to 42°C. PAGASA warns that heat cramps and heat exhaustion are likely, while prolonged exposure could lead to heat stroke.

More than 40 additional locations are under “extreme caution” with heat indices between 33°C and 41°C, and Baguio City remains at a “caution” level at 27°C. Cooler, “not hazardous” conditions are expected in La Trinidad and Tuba, Benguet.

Residents are advised to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged sun exposure, and take extra precautions, especially in areas under “danger” levels.
