FILIPINO TEACHER ABROAD DEFENDS EDUCATORS AMID CALLS FOR GREATER ACCOUNTABILITY

A Filipino teacher working overseas has spoken out against what she described as the unfair blaming of educators whenever incidents involving students happen in schools.
In her post, she said many teachers are already dealing with heavy workloads, limited resources, low pay, and insufficient support while continuing to fulfill their responsibilities.
She stressed that school problems should not be blamed on teachers alone, noting that student behavior and other concerns can also be linked to families, school policies, available support services, and broader issues within the education system.
The teacher added that the lack of support for educators is one reason some Filipino teachers choose to work abroad, where they hope to find better opportunities and working conditions.
She ended with a strong message reminding the public that teachers should not be treated as scapegoats or punching bags whenever problems arise in schools.
