JANICE DE BELEN SHARES HOW SHE GUIDES HER CHILDREN THROUGH CONTROVERSIES

Janice de Belen recently spoke about how she responds when her children face public issues, saying her role as a mother is to guide them without taking over their decisions.

In an interview with Boy Abunda, the veteran actress shared that when her daughter Ina was involved in a controversy, she reached out to her and calmly pointed out what she felt needed to be addressed. After that, Janice chose not to dwell on the matter and allowed Ina to think things through on her own.

Janice said she no longer believes in giving long lectures. Instead, she prefers to say what is necessary, then give her children space to reflect and learn.

She added that once the issue had passed, she only reminded Ina to be more mindful in the future. For Janice, parenting adult children means offering support and advice while also respecting their ability to grow from their own experiences.
