LAKAM CHIU RELEASED AFTER POSTING ₱5.6M SURETY BOND

Lakambini “Lakam” Chiu has been temporarily released from detention after posting a ₱5.6-million surety bond following her arraignment in Quezon City.

The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology confirmed that Lakam left the Quezon City Jail Female Dormitory at around 5:30 p.m. on September 24, 2026.

Lakam attended her arraignment through video conference and entered a plea of not guilty to 124 counts of qualified theft involving alleged financial discrepancies connected to House of Little Bunny Philippines Inc.

Kim Chiu personally attended the court proceedings with her legal team and Star Magic head Laurenti Dyogi.

Kim’s camp has maintained that the matter will be handled through the proper legal process as the cases continue before the court.

Posting bail allows Lakam temporary liberty while the proceedings are ongoing and does not determine guilt or innocence.
