LAKAM CHIU VISITED BY FATHER AS FAMILY WORKS TO SECURE ₱5.6M BAIL

Lakambini “Lakam” Chiu was visited by her father, William Chiu Jr., while she remained in custody at the Kamuning Police Station amid efforts to secure her temporary release.

According to her father, the family has been having difficulty raising the required bail, although some volunteers have reportedly offered assistance.

The court reduced Lakam’s bail from approximately ₱5.8 million to ₱5.6 million. Her legal team has chosen to pursue a surety bond and is processing the necessary documents for her possible release.

Lakam is facing 124 counts of qualified theft arising from allegations involving corporate funds of House of Little Bunny Philippines Inc., a business linked to her and her sister, actress Kim Chiu.

Lakam has denied wrongdoing and has maintained that the questioned transactions were made under an understanding she had regarding the use of their corporate accounts.
