NEW LPA ENTERS PAR; PAGASA MONITORING TROPICAL DEPRESSION OUTSIDE PH

According to DOST-PAGASA, as of 2:00 PM today, May 5, 2026, the Low Pressure Area identified as LPA 05a has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

PAGASA said the weather disturbance is unlikely to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, another Low Pressure Area, identified as LPA 05b, which is being monitored outside PAR, has developed into a Tropical Depression.

The public is advised to continue monitoring official updates and advisories from DOST-PAGASA for further developments.
