PAGASA MONITORS TWO LPAs OUTSIDE PAR

The DOST-PAGASA is monitoring two low pressure areas outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility as of 2 p.m. on May 4, 2026.
According to the weather bureau, the first weather disturbance, identified as LPA 05a, was located east of Northeastern Mindanao and is unlikely to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, LPA 05b, also being monitored outside PAR, has a medium chance of becoming a tropical depression within the same period.
PAGASA advised the public to continue monitoring official weather updates, especially as weather conditions may still change.
