PNP RESUMES ENFORCEMENT OF SHIRTLESS BAN IN MANILA, QC

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has resumed enforcing the rule against going shirtless in public spaces in Manila and Quezon City after a short suspension.

PNP spokesperson Brig. Gen. Randulf Tuaño said the directive has been reactivated under instructions from PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. He also noted that enforcement should be carried out with “common sense,” as emphasized to National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) director Brig. Gen. Anthony Aberin.

The policy aims to maintain public order in urban areas while allowing discretion in its implementation.
