Comedienne Pokwang has caught the attention of netizens after directly calling on veteran actor Philip Salvador to speak up and defend Joshua “Josh” Aquino amid the controversy involving the Machong Chismisan podcast.

In her social media message, Pokwang urged Philip to take a stand for Josh, who has faced hurtful remarks following the controversial podcast episode.

The comedienne emphasized that Josh has a kind and loving heart and does not deserve to be ridiculed or subjected to offensive comments because of his disability.

Pokwang also described Josh as a “gentle giant,” a term she affectionately uses to highlight his gentle personality and kindness toward others.

Addressing Philip directly, she wrote, “Galawin mo ang baso! Para kay Josh!” before urging him once again to take action.

Her message also extended beyond Josh, as she stressed that no person with a disability deserves to experience mockery or disrespect.
