Several Areas Face Dangerous Heat Index Levels on May 18

Several parts of the Philippines are expected to experience high heat index levels on May 18, 2026, with Coron, Palawan forecast to reach the highest level at 45°C.
Dagupan City in Pangasinan and Sangley Point in Cavite City are also expected to feel intense heat at 44°C. Other areas with high heat index levels include Borongan, Eastern Samar; San Ildefonso, Bulacan; and Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur at 43°C.
Meanwhile, Iloilo City, NAIA in Pasay City, and Tuguegarao City in Cagayan may reach 42°C, while Mactan International Airport in Cebu is forecast at 41°C. Cotabato City, Laguindingan Airport, and Legazpi City may experience 40°C, while Davao City is listed at 39°C.
The public is advised to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged sun exposure, and take precautions against heat-related illnesses, especially during the hottest hours of the day.
