      SPURS’ WEMBANYAMA RULED OUT FOR GAME 3 AMID CONCUSSION RECOVERY

      PORTLAND, Ore. — Victor Wembanyama will miss Game 3 of the San Antonio Spurs’ first-round playoff series against the Portland Trail Blazers as he continues to recover from a concussion.

      The Spurs confirmed that the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, who is also an MVP finalist, is still undergoing the NBA’s concussion protocol after exiting Game 2 in the second quarter. Portland went on to win that game 106-103, tying the series.

      Despite the setback, Spurs coach Mitch Johnson said Wembanyama is progressing and has traveled with the team.
