VICTOR WEMBANYAMA WARNED AFTER SKIPPING POSTGAME MEDIA

Victor Wembanyama was issued a warning by the NBA after failing to speak with reporters following the San Antonio Spurs’ Game 5 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night.
San Antonio lost 127-114, falling behind 3-2 in the Western Conference Finals. Wembanyama finished with 20 points but had a difficult shooting night, going 4-of-15 from the field and missing all five of his attempts from three-point range.
The league requires players to be available to the media after games. Wembanyama left without fulfilling that obligation, leading to the warning. He was not fined.
The situation drew attention because Wembanyama is usually seen as media-friendly and professional. The Spurs now face pressure as they head into Game 6 with their season on the line.
