Ateneo de Davao University has announced that it will provide full scholarships—from basic education through college—to all six siblings of the late student-athlete Rene Clert “Bobet” Baterbonia.

The announcement was made during a memorial Mass held in his honor at the university, where officials described the initiative as part of efforts to continue fulfilling Baterbonia’s aspirations for his family’s future. According to university president Fr. Karel San Juan, SJ, the scholarship support reflects the institution’s commitment to honoring the legacy of the young athlete, who was widely regarded for his contributions to the school’s basketball program.
