DARRYL YAP REACTS TO VIVOREE ESCLITO’S VIRAL POLITICAL REMARKS

Filmmaker Darryl Yap reacted to the viral political post of actress and singer Vivoree Esclito, who criticized several female senators on social media.

On Instagram Stories, Vivoree wrote, “I am all for empowering women but not when these are the women in power. Nakakahiya kayo”.

In response, Yap questioned Vivoree’s statement and defended the lawmakers, saying there is nothing shameful about standing for the country’s sovereignty and women uniting against wrongdoing.

“Ano ang nakakahiya sa pagpanig sa soberanya ng bansa Vivoree? Ano ang nakakahiya sa pagsasama-sama ng mga babae laban sa kabuktutan. Imbis kasi mag-ahit ka ng bigote, ito ang inaatupag mo eh,” Yap wrote.

His response quickly gained attention online, drawing mixed reactions from netizens and sparking further discussion about politics, women in leadership, and celebrity opinions on public issues.
