DEREK RAMSAY, ANTHONY VIOLAGO FACE POSSIBLE ₱5,000 PENALTY, LICENSE SUSPENSION

Derek Ramsay and Anthony Violago could face penalties following an ongoing Land Transportation Office investigation involving a Porsche 918 and its license plate.
Instead of waiting for the scheduled August 24 hearing, the two reportedly appeared at the LTO on August 17 and voluntarily surrendered the vehicle and their driver’s licenses.
According to LTO chief Asec. Marcus Lacanilao, Ramsay and Violago apologized, acknowledged the issue, and expressed willingness to cooperate with the investigation.
Violago reportedly said the plate was changed because he wanted to use his initials on the vehicle for an event. Ramsay was said to have been abroad at the time but had discussed the matter with him.
The alleged violation may carry a ₱5,000 penalty, while their licenses could also face suspension or revocation depending on the final findings of the LTO Intelligence and Investigation Division.
The Porsche remains impounded while the case is under review.
