FATHER OF ATENEO PLAYER DIVINE ADILI APPEALS FOR JUSTICE AFTER SON’S DEATH

Elias Adili, father of late Ateneo Blue Eagles player Chukwuemeka Divine Adili, has publicly appealed for justice following the death of his son.

In a social media post, Elias said Divine traveled with others to the Philippines in 2024 to represent Nigeria in an international tournament. He noted that Nigeria won the tournament and ranked sixth overall, while Divine gave his full effort as an athlete.

Elias also described his son as a highly valued member of Ateneo Blue Eagles, referring to the university as one of the top-ranked schools in the Philippines.

The grieving father expressed deep pain over Divine’s passing, saying the family has been left devastated. He also raised concerns over what he described as carelessness surrounding his son’s death.

As the family continues to mourn, Elias said they are seeking justice and accountability, hoping to learn the full truth behind the tragedy.
