A live-action version of Gundam is now in production in Queensland, Australia, with Netflix confirming the project.

The film will star Sydney Sweeney and Noah Centineo, under the direction of Jim Mickle. It follows rival mech pilots on opposing sides of a long-running war between Earth and space colonies.

The story promises a mix of intense action and emotional depth, though no release date has been announced yet.
