OMBUDSMAN SEEKS SALNs OF 26 LAWMAKERS IN FLOOD CONTROL PROBE

The Office of the Ombudsman has asked for the Statements of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALNs) of all members of the House of Representatives as part of its ongoing investigation into alleged irregularities in flood control projects.

Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla said that 26 lawmakers already connected to the issue are set to undergo lifestyle checks, with the possibility of additional names being included. The office has reportedly obtained SALN records for the officials involved.

Remulla also said more developments are expected soon as the probe continues, and he is scheduled to attend a House committee hearing related to a separate request for official documents.
