POWER SUPPLY ALERT: NGCP RAISES YELLOW AND RED ALERTS IN LUZON

As of 12:00 PM on May 15, 2026, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines has raised Yellow and Red Alerts due to insufficient power supply and low power reserves from Luzon power plants

A Yellow Alert has been declared from 1:01 PM to 2:00 PM and again from 11:01 PM to 12:00 midnight, indicating that power reserves are below the required leve

A Red Alert will be in effect from 2:01 PM to 11:00 PM. During this period, affected areas may experience rotating power interruptions or outages due to the limited available power supply.

Consumers are advised to conserve electricity, especially during peak hours, to help reduce demand and ease pressure on the power grid.
