SEVERAL AREAS MAY REACH DANGEROUS HEAT INDEX LEVELS ON MAY 15

Several parts of the Philippines are expected to experience dangerous heat index levels on May 15, 2026, with forecasts reaching as high as 44°C, according to data attributed to DOST-PAGASA.
The highest projected heat index was listed in Borongan, Eastern Samar; Sangley Point, Cavite City; San Ildefonso, Bulacan; and Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, all at 44°C. Other areas, including Davao City, Iloilo City, Legazpi City, and Puerto Princesa City, may reach 43°C.
Meanwhile, Dagupan City, NAIA in Pasay City, and Zamboanga City are forecast at 42°C, while Laguindingan Airport and Mactan International Airport may hit 41°C. Cotabato City is listed at 40°C, while Baguio City remains significantly cooler at 26°C.
