BOY ABUNDA EMOTIONALLY DEFENDS JOSH AQUINO AMID MACHONG CHISMISAN PODCAST CONTROVERSY

Veteran TV host Boy Abunda has expressed his disappointment over the controversial remarks made by the hosts of the Machong Chismisan podcast about Joshua “Josh” Aquino, the son of Kris Aquino, who has special needs.

In his statement, Boy questioned how individuals who appear educated and knowledgeable could make hurtful comments, especially when discussing someone with a disability.

One of the remarks that particularly upset him was the alleged comparison between Josh and his younger brother, Bimby Aquino, which appeared to question Josh's contributions and value as a person.

Boy emphasized how deeply Josh is loved by the Aquino family, particularly by his mother, Kris, and his late uncle, former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.

He also recalled visiting Kris in the United States, where he personally witnessed the important roles both brothers played in their household.

According to Boy, while Bimby helped coordinate with the nurses caring for their mother, Josh took the lead in morning prayers with the people in their home.

Through this experience, Boy highlighted that every individual contributes in different ways and that a person's worth should never be measured by their disability or abilities.

He firmly defended Josh, stressing that he is far from being worthless and deserves the same dignity, kindness, and respect as everyone else.
